Please note - we have remained open right through all periods of lockdown since March 2020, but have been following Government guidelines and managing most patients via telephone and video consultations. When a Doctor needs to see a patient they wll be given an appointment to attend the surgery. Our Nursing Team are also seeing patients on a daily basis.
To arrange a telephone or video consultation please call us on 020 3457 8727 or register with DoctorLink or the NHS app. When it is safe for you and our staff to re-open the surgery fully we will.
Thank you for your understanding during this very difficult time.

FREE flu vaccinations for those in at-risk groups.
We still have plenty of flu vaccinations including those for the age group 50-64 year-olds who wouldn't normally be eligible. Our clinics are being run very differently this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic so you will be asked to follow all social distancing and face covering guidelines when you attend. Please do book an appointment at Reception if you are eligible to have your free vaccine and haven't yet done so.
For Parents/Carers:
If your child is unwell and you need advice from the practice then please contact us as you usually would. Please do not delay contacting your practice and seeking advice if you and your child need it. During the COVID19 pandemic, don’t come to the practice – contact us first. Click here for more details.

Emergency medication service when you run out via NHS 111:
The NHS CPCS (Community Pharmacist Consultation Service) allows patients' access to an emergency supply of medication if they run out when their GP surgery is closed, or if the usual 48 hour wait means they may be without medication for a period of time. By ringing NHS 111 free a patient may be given the option to attend another healthcare provider locally to collect a limited number of medications, allowing them time to request their medications through the usual channels at their own surgery.

Stay Well Pharmacy Scheme launched by NHS England:

Your local Pharmacy should be your first port of call for minor illnesses. It is estimated that around 18 million GP appointments and 2.1 million visits to A&E are for minor, self-treatable conditions such as coughs and stomach troubles, costing the NHS more than £850 million each year. Please leave your GP and local A&E services for those patients' that are sickest and really need them; start to visit your local Pharmacy for advice and support from qualified healthcare staff who will can easily re-direct you to more appropriate services if they feel it's necessary.
Our NHS is in a critical condition - please help us to make it better!
EPS - Electronic Prescribing Service
Leander Family Practice offers an Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS), a free NHS Service. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from. If you use a regular chemist/pharmacy for your medications your prescription can be sent electronically from the GP surgery to your nominated chemist/pharmacy. This is the preferred method for collection of medicines during the coronavirus pandemic. For more information please speak to your pharmacy about EPS now or go to www.hscis.gov.uk/eps. To nominate a pharamcy please look under our repeat prescription tab.
