Proposed changes to Croydon Council's Adult Social Care Charging Policy - please read
Croydon Council is consulting on proposed changes to their charging policy for adult social care and how people pay for their care. This includes homecare (care at home), direct payments to employ a personal assistant or care in a care home.
You can find the consultation documents and survey on the Council’s website: https://getinvolved.croydon.gov.uk/KMS/DMart.aspx To find the survey, go to the Get Involved section and click on the Client Contributions / Charging Policy consultation. You will see the consultation documents as downloads. To start the survey, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Click To Take Part.
You are also invited to attend a consultation event on Tuesday 8 January 2019 from 1pm-2pm at the Carers Support Centre, 24 George Street, Croydon CR0 1PB.
Carers will hear from Croydon Council staff on the proposed changes and have an opportunity to ask questions and express views.
If you would like to attend, please contact Amy Deakin on 020 8649 6288 and leave a voicemail, or email email@example.com. As the Carers Support Centre is closed over Christmas, emails may be responded to with an out of office, but you will receive a reply in January.
The Carers Information Service will be responding to the consultation as an organisation. We strongly encourage carers to read the consultation document and respond online before 25 January 2019. We will also have paper copies at the Carers Support Centre from Wednesday 2 January 2019.
You can also call the Charging Helpline (020 8760 5676) between 10am and 12pm and 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays, or leave a voicemail outside of those times, and share your views.
